Tips For Healthy Hair



From dry or oily hair to dandruff and hair loss, most of the hair problems are related to your food habits. Since hair is a fast growing tissue of your body, it needs continuous nourishment in the form of vitamins, protein and other essential minerals. A proper diet can help you avoid common hair troubles. Here are the few tips that can help you have a healthy hair.

1.      Fish: Fish is considered as a healthiest source of protein. It also provides essential amino acid to your hair. Inadequate amount of protein intake can cause hair loss and slow growth. In case if you do not like fish you can go for fish oil supplements. Fish oil contains all the essential fatty acid required for hair growth. It also keeps your hair smooth and prevents it from dryness and dandruff.

2.      Soya bean: Soya bean is rich in amino acid, which is considered as a building block for all the required protein within your body. It is also important for the overall growth of your body including our hair.

3.      Almonds: Almonds are rich in Vitamin E and can protect your hair from free radical damage caused due to stress, pollution and UV rays. Almonds also improve blood circulation to your scalp, providing the required nourishment to your hair.

4.      Guavas:  Guavas are rich in vitamin C and it prevents your hair from split ends, which can make it, look unhealthy and also result in hair loss.

5.       Dates: Dates are rich in iron and they prevent breakage of hair and hair loss. You can also add other iron rich food to your diet like amla, red meat, leafy vegetables and raisins.

6.       Pumpkin seeds: Zinc is also very essential for your hair. It tackles with dandruff and alleviates dryness. Pumpkin seeds are rich in zinc content and it helps you in maintaining long and lustrous hair. Other zinc rich food sources are beef and lamb.

Water is very essential for healthy hair. It makes one fourth of your hair strand. If you do not drink adequate water, your strands will develop split ends and also become brittle. So in order to maintain water balance in your hair you should at least drink 8 to 10 glasses of water every day.
