Ways to Get Rid of the Irritation Caused Due to Eczema


Eczema is a cruel and mysterious disease which results in swelling of the upper layer of your skin. Seeing a dermatologist is very important, both for diagnosing and treating eczema. It is an ugly skin disease which causes severe itchiness, pain and a very uncomfortable feeling. This kind of skin disorder can be caused to anyone at any time, from young children to adults. Eczema becomes worse if it is not treated.
 It is very important that you take care of your skin and get rid of the trouble caused due to eczema. The first and the foremost thing that you need to do, is some modification in your diet. Food containing alkali is very good and effective in curing eczema.  Proper bathing technique also helps in reducing the symptoms of eczema. You should not bathe for more than 15 minutes in Luke warm water because excessive bathing might leave your skin dry , making it prone to eczema. You should add bath oils or coal tar products to your bath. This helps you to get rid of the pain and irritation that is caused during eczema. Avoid rubbing or scraping after bath. You should pat dry yourself with a towel after finishing bath. It is very important that you keep your skin well-hydrated to prevent itching caused due to eczema. After finishing your bath, you should apply some moisturized on your body to keep your skin hydrated.
You should avoid the use of perfume, dyes and other cosmetics that contain chemical in it. Instead you can use products that are mild. Wet wrap are the most effective way to get rid of eczema. Before you apply wrap on the affected area, you need to soak the area in Luke warm water for a while and then pat dry. Once the area is dry you can apply some moisturizer and then, finally wrap it with a wet bandage. Wrap dry bandage around the wet ones and leave it overnight. You can also add a little bleach in a tub full of water and soak the affected area into it for at least 10 minutes twice a week. There are also many anti-itching creams available in the market which can be used to reduce the pain caused due to eczema.
