How to Avoid Blackheads

Blackheads are a type of acne vulgaris, which is usually caused due to poor hygiene. They are yellow or blackish bumps caused when excess oil accumulates in the sebaceous gland and are not able to come out, due to clogged pores. They mostly appear on the surface that is exposed and is dust prone.  Hormonal change especially during the time of pregnancy and menstruation can be a major cause of blackheads in women.  Here are few tips that can help you avoid blackheads.

  1. Diet plays a vital role in avoiding blackheads. You must drink a lot of water and stop eating junk food, meat and dairy products in order to avoid blackheads. If you are addicted to beverages like tea and coffee then you can replace it with herbal tea that has no side effects.
  2. Adequate sleep and a stress free life will also help you avoid these black spots on your face.
  3. Ensure that your skin is clean and makeup free, this will not only keep blackheads way, but it will also allow your skin to breathe.  You can apply some mild herbal soap on your skin to keep it clean and oil free.
  4. You must also avoid cream that are oil-based, as they might clog your pores and increase your trouble.
  5. Regular exercise can improve your blood circulation and help you in having a glowing skin.
You can also use some home remedies in order to avoid blackheads. A mixture of fullers earth or commonly known as multani mitti mixed with gulab jal is one of the best home remedy in order to avoid blackheads and have a smooth skin. You can also try the mixture of almond powder, fuller’s earth and glycerin soap for blackheads.
