Skin Care Tips For Rainy Season

Rain brings respite from the heat and also from the skin rashes that occur during summer. It is the season that rejuvenates all the living things existing on the planet. Monsoon is refreshing and may also make you forget about your skin care for the time being. With your raincoats out you protect yourself and enjoy the bright, beautiful and breezy nature, but your skin might not just let you enjoy the monsoon. The high humidity in the atmosphere may not allow your skin to breath and you will notice that your skin has become sticky and dull. Here are some tips that can help you maintain glowing skin and cope up with the monsoon.
  1. Use soap free cleanser and keep your skin clean. You can also use mild scrub once every day to remove dead cells.
  2. Cleansing should always be followed by toning.  You must use alcohol free toner so that they open up the pores of your skin and allow it to breathe. It also helps in restoring the PH balance of your skin.
  3. You must use face wash preferable containing alpha hydroxyl acid. Use of face wash makes you feel fresh, but you must restrict its use to once a day.
  4. Drink adequate water because even if you are not thirsty, your skin needs water as it is always thirstier than you are.
  5. During monsoon your skin becomes dehydrated and it makes moisturizing very important. You can apply homemade moisturizers everyday and wash it off with face wash. You can use a mixture prepared from jojoba oil and fresh curd for dry skin, whereas rose water and orange oil is very effective for oily skin.
  6. Heavy makeup should be avoided during monsoon because the chemicals present in it may clog your skin and increase the trouble. If makeup is necessary then you must first rub your face with ice cubes and then apply makeup.
  7. Apply sunscreen and never forget to carry an umbrella before stepping out. If your skin is already tanned then you can apply a mixture made of milk, honey and lemon juice.
Along with skin care you must also eat healthy and nutritious food in order to have glowing skin.
